inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, is rolling out the Philippines’ first-ever regional EV fleet in Baguio City, introducing a cleaner, greener way to move around the city.
This landmark initiative is in partnership with electric vehicle dealer Device Design Green And Smart (DDGNS) Corporation and fleet partner Transrev Documentation and Transport Services.
The launch comes as Baguio’s tourism sector experiences a notable resurgence. In 2024, the Department of Tourism – Cordillera office reported a 19.08 percent increase in tourist arrivals, further highlighting the need for sustainable and reliable transportation options for both locals and visitors.
“During the past year of operating in the Philippines, we saw the growing demand among passengers and drivers for more environmentally friendly transport options,” said Vanessa Taqueban, inDrive Philippines Driver Operations lead.
She added, “We’re confident that our collaboration with DDGNS and Transrev marks the beginning of a more equitable and eco-friendly public transport system in Baguio and beyond.”
100 EVs by September, 1,000 by 2026
The initiative begins with an initial fleet of 100 electric vehicles set to hit Baguio’s roads by September 15, 2025. inDrive plans to expand the fleet to 1,000 EVs by 2026 in response to increasing interest from transport operators transitioning to electric mobility.
This rollout supports Baguio City’s long-term sustainability roadmap, which aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emission by 2050. EVs have proven environmental benefits, emitting only 50g/km of carbon dioxide compared to 165g/km from petrol cars and 170g/km from diesel vehicles.

Fifth APAC market to welcome inDrive EVs
With this deployment, the Philippines becomes the fifth Asia-Pacific market to embrace inDrive’s EV offerings. This follows successful implementations in India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Thailand.
This milestone underscores inDrive’s global commitment to build sustainable transport ecosystems in key urban centers.
Benefits for drivers and passengers
The shift to electric vehicles brings significant advantages to inDrive’s partner drivers. EVs offer lower maintenance costs and fuel expenses at enhanced efficiency, enabling drivers to increase their earnings while contributing to a cleaner city.
Commuters also benefit from a smoother, more comfortable ride. The EVs featured on the inDrive platform include features such as regenerative braking, responsive steering, advanced suspension systems and a quiet, intuitive driving experience.
With the Baguio EV fleet now on the road, inDrive continues to drive the future of green mobility for Filipinos. For more information and updates on inDrive’s eco-travel initiatives, visit www.inDrive.com.
