Caltex and American Chamber of Commerce Team Up to Give Premium Discounts to Members

Chevron Philippines Inc. Country Chairman Louie Zhang and American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) of the Philippines Executive Director Ebb Hinchliffe seal their partnership during the recent MOA signing to give premium rewards to new AmCham members.

Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), ushers in the new year with new offerings and better service through yet another key partnership. Together with the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham), Caltex is offering AmCham members premium discounts on various Caltex products.

The partnership between Caltex and the nonprofit association entitles all AmCham members to a Caltex Save Plus card enabling them to go on more and longer road trips with loved ones and create more memories.

Hino Uplifts Commuters’ Riding Experience with Modern Jeepney Units

Improved riding experience for commuters and better driving conditions for drivers summarized the first few months of rollout of modern jeepneys. These are the findings of Hino Motors Philippines (HMP), exclusive distributor of customized Hino trucks and buses in the Philippines, which visited the Pateros-Fort Bonifacio Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TSMC) and Taguig Transport Service Cooperative (TSC) a few months after endorsing Hino modern jeepneys to the cooperatives in support of the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP).

Olive-Ridley Sea Turtle Nesting Sites Spotted Anew Along Chevron Batangas Terminal Coastline

Olive-Ridley nesting sites with more than 300 eggs were recently found along the Chevron Batangas Terminal coastline, where Chevron employee volunteers recently conducted their annual coastal cleanup. Four nesting sites were discovered on December 2018, the first since the last batch of Olive-Ridley sea turtles hatched in January 2017.

Every year, Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of the Caltex brand of fuels and lubricants, coincides its annual coastal cleanup with the Olive-Ridley turtles’ nesting season to ensure a favorable environment for the turtles during their nesting period.

Centers in Manila and Warsaw will help global clients gain greater value from their data and analytics

With continued strong demand for the migration of analytics workloads to the cloud, DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) today announced the opening of two additional DXC Analytics Migration Factory locations in Manila, Philippines, and Warsaw, Poland.

The new centers will provide clients with an efficient, end-to-end experience to accelerate the migration of data and analytics environments to Microsoft Azure. DXC launched its first Analytics Migration Factory for Microsoft Azure in Bangalore, India, in September 2018.

TÜV Rheinland Launches Training and Certification Program for Rail Safety Assurance Professional

 

TÜV Rheinland Philippines recently held its first training and certification program for rail safety assurance. More than 30 participants, including engineers, R&D staff and management personnel, joined the 5-day training program.

As part of TÜV Rheinland’s Personnel Certification Scheme, a training and qualification program that enables individuals and enterprises to verify the competencies of their employees through a third-party certification body, the Rail Safety Assurance Professional (TÜV) Training and Personnel Certification Program aims to help participants understand and apply the principles of functional safety to the development and assessment of safety systems.
